Broken/Mended | Writing Session

When we break things, how do we fix them? This week, we’ll be drawing inspiration from damaged items and attempting to repair them. Join us in tearing up the rule book with a theme that is all about finding the beauty in the broken. So, what are you waiting for? Pick up a hammer, slap on bandage, or peel back the layers, one by one, until you are entirely transformed.

REMINDER! In the second half of our session, we’ll be trying out blackout poetry – so we’re asking all attendees to bring one (or more) piece of printed text – for example, photocopied pages of a book, textbook, newspaper clipping, essay/article, etc. Can’t print, or prefer to work digitally? No problem! Check out this guide for creating digital blackout poetry. If opting for a digital approach, we still recommend picking your text(s) ahead of time.
